Hemlock Semiconductor Group sponsors Saginaw Celebrates Summer

Hemlock Semiconductor Group is the proud sponsor of Saginaw Celebrates Summer, an eight-week collaboration celebrating arts, nature, and the humanities with events for the whole family to enjoy.

Organized by the Saginaw Arts & Enrichment Commission, Saginaw Celebrates Summer kicks off June 1 and runs through July 31, with more than 50 events taking place at over a dozen venues throughout Saginaw and the Celebration Square area.

The list of events will include concerts, stage shows, jazz performances, art fairs, workshops, films, exhibitions, nature hikes, and much, much more! Many of the activities are FREE or have a reduced ticket price for members.

"Saginaw Celebrates Summer is a great opportunity for families in the region to take advantage of all the fun educational and cultural activities Saginaw has to offer," said Jim Cross, site manager for Hemlock Semiconductor. "We are excited to sponsor this event and show our commitment to the community – a community that has provided a tremendous amount of support to Hemlock Semiconductor."

The Art & Garden Festival at Andersen Enrichment Center, D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) at the Children's Zoo, and the Children's Art Festival at the Saginaw Art Museum will kick off the summer celebration in early June. Concerts on Ojibway Island, the Friday Night Live music series, family nature hikes, indoor and outdoor film festivals, and animal activity days are just a few of the many events adults and children alike will be able to enjoy.

Saginaw Celebrates Summer will culminate with the 10th Anniversary Carousel Celebration at the Children's Zoo, a joint project by six area organizations featuring a variety show, art and history activities for children, and, of course, the animals!
