Exceeding goals to make a big difference
Hemlock Semiconductor employees have supported United Way for many
years. Now, more than at any previous time, we know how fortunate we are
to have jobs in a rapidly growing industry when so many in our community are
struggling. Giving back to the community through contributions to United
Way is one way that employees and our company can help provide support for
people that need it, and improve the quality of life in our region.
In 2011, employees reached their goal by raising $175,000 for United Way of
Saginaw County.

Our contributions philosophy
Hemlock Semiconductor is committed to supporting local community activities
or projects with a specific focus on Saginaw County. Our goal of being a good
corporate citizen in the Saginaw Valley will be met by financially
supporting activities and initiatives that will benefit the local region.
Contributions will primarily be directed toward the following:
-
Non-profit organizations supporting those in need within the
community.
-
Educational needs, with a strong emphasis on local schools improving the
educational process primarily in the areas of math, science, and the skilled
trades.
-
Initiatives that support economic development or improve the quality of
life within our local communities.

Hemlock Semiconductor employees raised more than $2,500 for the United Way
of Saginaw County through a ‘Dunk Your Leaders’ fundraiser.
