Neighborhood Open House – At Hemlock Semiconductor, we recognize
the concerns and values of our neighbors. Often, we invite our nearest
neighbors for dinner and tours of our facilities. This gives us the opportunity
to share information about our operations, safety and environmental
initiatives, and future development and expansion plans.
Community Connection Newsletter – The Community
Connection Newsletter is published three times per year and includes
information on current issues, safety and environmental topics, and articles of
possible interest to our neighbors and community.
The corporate culture of Hemlock Semiconductor embraces community
involvement at all levels of the organization, with employee participation and
leadership on area boards and committees. Employees can be found on the boards
of United Way Saginaw, Saginaw Future, Delta College Foundation, and the
Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce among others. Participation goes beyond the
board room as well. Employees volunteer time and raise money for non-profits
such as the American Cancer Society and United Way. Employees, also, have
volunteered time and talents to Saginaw Habitat for Humanity, Big
Brothers/Big Sisters Adopt-a-Family, READ association, FIRST Robotics, career
fairs, and more.
