From innovative electronic products used in medical equipment, to
high-efficiency solar panels that enable power generation from renewable
resources, the products you make help improve the lives of the customers you
serve. Hemlock Semiconductor Group is proud to be able to contribute to your
success.
At Hemlock Semiconductor, we use an Operational Excellence Management System
to control all aspects of our operations and drive continued improvements in
all areas of the site, including: environmental, health, safety and
quality.
In 2013, the
Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) designated Hemlock
Semiconductor’s Michigan site as a member of the state’s Clean
Corporate Citizen (C3) Program . Membership in the C3 Program is one of the
DEQ’s highest environmental stewardship achievements. Hemlock Semiconductor is
the 182nd facility in Michigan to receive this award. Facilities with C3 status
display facility-specific environmental management systems, active pollution
prevention initiatives, and a consistent record of compliance with state and
federal environmental requirements.
We are equally proud of our participation in the American Chemistry Council Responsible Care®
initiative. This important program provides both guidance and oversight to
help companies manage the chemical raw materials and products they produce in a
manner that respects the environment as well as the health and safety of
workers and members of the communities where they operate.
