Primary Responsibilities
Fernando is responsible for overseeing HSC’s core operations – including manufacturing, supply chain, technology, procurement and quality – driving disciplined execution and agility across the organization. His leadership is key to advancing HSC’s strategic priorities and delivering best-in-class manufacturing performance.
Experience and Expertise
Fernando joined the HSC Executive Leadership Team in January 2026 and brings more than three decades of global experience in manufacturing and operations with Dow. Prior to joining HSC, he was Vice President for the Ethylene & Energy Envelope, with accountability for Packaging and Specialty Plastics and Olefins at Dow. He also served as Vice President of Operations, U.S. Gulf Coast Site Director, Texas Operations, and was responsible for 10 advanced manufacturing sites and the Houston Dow Center. He has also served as the executive sponsor of the Society of Women Engineers and an active ally of Women in Engineering, the Hispanic and Latin Network, and RISE employee resource groups. Fernando began his career with Dow in 1994 as a co-op in Brazil.
