Chief Human Resources Officer

Primary Responsibilities

Barb is responsible for the full scope of human resources strategy and functions across the HSC enterprise, including attraction, retention, leadership development, talent management, organizational design and strategic planning.

Experience and Expertise

Barb brings more than three decades of global human resources manufacturing experience and a demonstrated track record of delivering results to her new role as Chief Human Resources Officer at HSC. Her areas of expertise include talent management, executive coaching, organizational design and change management.   

She began her career in 1990 as a human resources manager at Corning Incorporated in New York and moved up through a series of global management positions at Corning Incorporated facilities in New York, Arizona, Denmark, Texas, North Carolina and Massachusetts. These progressive moves spanned several Corning divisions including Environmental Technologies, Science and Technology, Optical Communications and Life Sciences Technologies. In 2018 she was named Human Resources Director for Corning’s Life Sciences division, where she led HR strategy for sites in multiple locations around the world, including U.S. facilities in Maine, New York, Virginia, Massachusetts, Utah, Illinois and North Carolina; Mexico sites in Reynosa and Monterrey; as well as sites in France, Netherlands, Poland and China. She was named HSC’s Chief Human Resources Officer in October 2022. 

Barb and her significant other recently relocated to Midland where they look forward to taking an active role in the life of the community.
