National Philanthropy Day Awards luncheon to honor mid-Michigan organizations

A couple mid-Michigan organizations will be celebrated for their regional contributions at the National Philanthropy Day Awards luncheon.

National Philanthropy Day has been celebrated annually on November 15 since 1986. On this day, communities throughout the world recognize the importance of working together for the common good. The Mid-Michigan Chapter of the global Association of Fundraising Professionals strives to stimulate a world of generosity and positive social good as it honors the philanthropic efforts of individuals, foundations and corporations and their commitment to our region.

The luncheon will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Saginaw Valley State University’s Curtiss Hall and is hosted by the Mid-Michigan Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

The event schedule is as follows:

  • 11:30 a.m. – arrival and  registration
  • 11:45 a.m. – luncheon
  • 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. – program

Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation will be honored as an Outstanding Foundation and Hemlock Semiconductor Corp will be honored as an Outstanding Corporation.
