Saginaw-area employers can meet with 800+ potential applicants at high school job fair

The Saginaw Career Complex is seeking about 25 more area employers to attend its upcoming job fair for high school juniors and seniors.

On Tuesday, May 9, participating employers will have the opportunity to meet with more than 800 SCC students and potential future employees. Registration is free.

SCC offers about 20 programs, including automotive technology, cosmetology, nursing, culinary and hospitality management, building construction, graphic arts, information technology and cyber security, animal and agriculture sciences, fire academy and law, public safety and security, among others.

“We have employers that represent all of those programs,” Batkoski said.

Companies and organizations that have already signed up include Bavarian Inn Lodge, Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital, Saginaw Police Department, local labor unions, Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office, Mobile Medical Response, Dow, Hemlock Semiconductor, Bergers Family Restaurant and Culver’s.

The event is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. outdoors in the Saginaw Career Complex commons area at 2102 Weiss St.
