Serving Those Who Served:

HSC is a Veteran-Friendly Employer

HSC is committed to upholding our shared core values of teamwork, responsibility, excellence, and customer focus — values that closely align with those who have served in the military. Veterans understand the value of hard work and bring with them a wide range of skills developed during their service career.

HSC is proud to be recognized by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency as a Silver Level veteran-friendly employer in the Great Lakes Bay Region and an official Michigan Veteran Connector. This certification highlights our commitment to recruitment, training and retention practices that support the needs of military veterans. We also have extra resources available to those who have served and their family members.

We encourage veterans to check out HSCpoly.com/careers to learn how you can be part of the HSC team. We offer exciting, high-tech careers in numerous professional fields, from engineering to procurement to the skilled trades, with generous benefits right from the start, including paid leave, health insurance and 401k retirement accounts.

Supporting VeteransAcross the Great Lakes Bay Region

HSC’s commitment to military veterans extends beyond the walls of our campus. Through our employee-led CARE Fund grant program, we support veteran-led projects and other critical needs in communities across the Great Lakes Bay Region.

In 2021, HSC provided a CARE grant for the Midland Area Honor Guard to purchase new uniforms for team members. The Honor Guard provides between 100-120 funeral services each year at no cost for Midland area veterans, including a 21-gun salute and flag presentation. With HSC grant funding, the Honor Guard was able to replace their 20-year-old uniforms and continue providing this essential service for military families.

HSC also provided CARE grants to the Bay Veterans Foundation to help veterans gain new job skills and to the Fresh Aire Samaritan Counseling Center to provide telepsychiatry services for veterans.
